One cubic yard contains 27 cubic feet. The calculator divides the geometric cubic-foot volume by 27 to produce cubic yards.
Why does limestone density vary?
Particle size, voids, moisture, compaction, and whether stone is loose or solid all affect bulk density. Supplier data for the exact product is preferable to a general planning value.
Should I add extra material for compaction?
Often yes, because loose stone can occupy more volume before placement and compaction. Confirm the supplier's basis and consider a project-appropriate compaction and waste allowance.
Does the cost include delivery and labor?
No, cost is only cubic yards multiplied by the entered material rate. Add delivery, minimum-load charges, taxes, equipment, labor, and other project costs separately.
How should I calculate an irregular area?
