How do I calculate CBM in centimeters?
Multiply length, width, and height in centimeters, then divide by one million. Multiply that result by the number of identical cartons.
Should I measure the product or the carton?
Measure the finished outer carton or crate that the carrier will handle. Packaging and projections occupy freight space and must be included.
Is CBM the same as volumetric weight?
No, CBM is a volume measurement. A carrier may convert that volume into dimensional weight using a service-specific factor.
Can I combine cartons of different sizes?
Calculate each dimension group separately and then add their cubic-meter totals. The quantity field assumes every package in that calculation is identical.
