The Pokémon Go candy calculator estimates how much species candy remains before an evolution and translates that shortage into practical farming goals. Enter the candy already in your inventory, the evolution's candy cost, and the number of spare Pokémon you intend to transfer. A standard transfer is counted as one candy. The calculator subtracts current candy and transfer candy from the evolution cost, never reporting a shortage below zero. It then shows how many Pinap-assisted catches or buddy kilometers could cover the remainder. A regular successful catch commonly awards three species candy before other bonuses, while using a Pinap Berry doubles the catch candy to six. This planner therefore divides the remaining requirement by six and rounds up to a whole catch. Actual rewards can differ during events, with evolved forms, or when special bonuses are active. Silver Pinap Berries and seasonal mechanics may also change rewards, so treat the displayed catch count as a standard baseline rather than a prediction for every event. Buddy walking distance depends on the Pokémon species. Common categories award one candy after 1, 3, 5, or 20 kilometers, and some game states can reduce the effective distance. Enter the normal distance shown on the buddy screen. Multiplying that distance by candy still needed gives the total walking distance if walking supplies the entire shortage. Progress already accumulated toward the next buddy candy and excitement-related distance reductions are not included, so the in-game buddy page remains the final source of truth. Transfers are permanent, and valuable Pokémon should be reviewed before using the estimate. Check combat power, appraisal, moves, costume status, size records, trading plans, and collection value. Transfer bonuses during spotlight hours or other events may award more candy than the standard one used here. Likewise, evolving can involve special items, tasks, buddy requirements, time-of-day restrictions, or regional forms in addition to candy. The two farming outputs are alternatives for comparison, not instructions to complete both. Players can combine catches, transfers, walking, hatching, trading, research rewards, and Rare Candy. Recalculate after each session with the new candy balance.
