It compares the measured distance with a statistical reference estimate for the entered characteristics. It is not a pass or fail score and must be interpreted in clinical context.
Is a longer distance always better?
A longer distance generally indicates greater functional walking capacity under comparable conditions. Safety, symptoms, pacing, oxygen use, and the reason for testing remain important.
Why can two tests give different distances?
