Sand is normally sold in sealed bags rather than exact fractional quantities. Rounding upward helps ensure the final joints can be filled and compacted completely.
Can I use the estimate for ordinary joint sand?
Yes, if you enter realistic coverage for that specific sand and application. Installation procedures differ, so follow the aggregate or paver supplier's guidance.
Should I include a waste allowance?
