Percent to goal FAQ
Can progress be more than 100 percent?
Yes. A percentage above 100 means the current value has exceeded the goal, and the calculator also shows the amount above the target.
What does 50 percent to goal mean?
It means the current value is exactly half of the target value. The remaining amount is therefore the other half of the goal.
Can I use currency values?
Yes. Enter both amounts in the same currency, and interpret the remaining value in that currency.
Why can the goal not be zero?
Percent to goal requires dividing progress by the target, and division by zero is undefined. Choose a meaningful nonzero baseline for the comparison.
Does percent to goal predict when I will finish?
No. It measures current completion only, so combine it with elapsed time or a progress rate if you need a completion forecast.
