Does the result mean I must drink that much plain water?

No. The estimate represents total water from beverages and food moisture. Plain water can provide much of it, but many foods and other drinks also contribute.

Do coffee and tea count toward hydration?

Yes, ordinary amounts generally contribute net fluid despite containing caffeine. Very high caffeine intake can have other effects, so moderation still matters.

Should I drink more during exercise?

Often yes, because sweating increases fluid loss. Long or intense sessions may require a plan based on sweat rate and electrolytes rather than a generic volume alone.

Can drinking too much water be harmful?
