About mean sac diameter

Mean sac diameter, abbreviated MSD, summarizes the size of an early intrauterine gestational sac on ultrasound. The sonographer measures the fluid-filled sac in three perpendicular planes using inner-to-inner borders. This calculator adds the length, width, and height and divides by three. Using millimeters for every dimension is essential.
