About the Kelvin temperature converter

The Kelvin temperature converter changes a reading among Kelvin, Celsius, and Fahrenheit while preserving the same physical temperature. Kelvin is the SI base unit of thermodynamic temperature and begins at absolute zero, the theoretical point where a system has minimum thermal energy. Unlike Celsius and Fahrenheit, Kelvin values are written without a degree sign. One kelvin has the same interval size as one degree Celsius, which makes conversion between those two scales especially direct. To convert Celsius to Kelvin, add 273.15. To convert Fahrenheit to Kelvin, first add 459.67 and then multiply by five ninths. Once a Kelvin value is known, Celsius is found by subtracting 273.15, while Fahrenheit is found by multiplying by nine fifths and subtracting 459.67. Ratios have physical meaning on an absolute scale: 400 K represents twice the thermodynamic temperature of 200 K.
