Finally, it converts the selected suspension label into milligrams per milliliter and divides the per-dose amount by that concentration. For example, 250 mg per 5 mL equals 50 mg per mL. An order for 360 mg therefore corresponds to 7.2 mL of that suspension. Read the pharmacy label every time because amoxicillin liquid comes in several concentrations that are not interchangeable volume for volume. Shake the bottle as directed and measure liquid medicine with an oral syringe or another calibrated device rather than a kitchen spoon.
