What is the formula from Celsius to Fahrenheit?
Multiply the Celsius temperature by nine fifths, then add 32. For example, 20 Celsius becomes 68 Fahrenheit.
How do I convert Fahrenheit to Celsius?
Subtract 32 from the Fahrenheit value and multiply the remainder by five ninths. This gives 100 Celsius for 212 Fahrenheit.
Can Kelvin temperatures be negative?
A physical thermodynamic temperature cannot be below zero Kelvin. Zero Kelvin represents absolute zero, although a purely mathematical conversion can display a negative result for an impossible input.
What is the difference between Kelvin and Rankine?
Both are absolute temperature scales that begin at absolute zero. Kelvin uses Celsius-sized intervals, while Rankine uses Fahrenheit-sized intervals.
Why does Fahrenheit add 32 during conversion?
